Our Local Rescues

THIS WOULDN’T BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT THEM.

Animal Friends Humane Society was established in 1952 and is the only open admission shelter in Butler County. AFHS cares for cats and dogs. They have terrific programs for fosters and volunteers. AFHS in recent years has adopted TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) practices for stray and feral cats. They have proven to be on the forefront of saving lives in Butler County.

The Paws Cause is an in-home foster based rescue group that has “many hands with one heart for the animals”. They have experienced fosters and bottle feeders that have impacted so many lives in their short existence. The Paws Cause pulls many cats and kittens from high-kill facilities in rural areas.

HART Cincinnati’s mission is to rescue homeless animals, saving them from euthanasia, abandonment, and abuse with the goal of placing them in forever homes. HART is an in-home based foster care rescue that also helps dogs!

His Hands Extended Sanctuary is located in Champagne County, OH. They have a wonderful space that has secure, indoor/outdoor access for cats and dogs! They provide life saving medical care to the animals at the sanctuary as well as animals from their community.

The Scratching Post is our newest partner! Located in Silverton, OH, they have been helping cats and kittens for decades and we are happy to assist!

THE ADOPTION PROCESS

We provide an adoption service for those customers interested in acquiring a new cat. Any adoption will be facilitated by our rescues and our Kitty Brew Crew. The adoption process can take up to 24 hours. All applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. You must pay the $13 Cat Lounge fee to meet the cats, no exceptions.

All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites/fleas, micro-chipped for identification, and blood tested. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to adopt.

***Friendly public service announcement! ***Although we have rescue cats on the premises, we are not specifically a cat rescue. We are not authorized to take cats from the public. If you are in need of places to surrender cats or kittens, please contact your local animal shelter or complete an internet search for rescues. Thank you!
